I live here in Thailand, and have been for almost two years. Many of my friends in America are always asking me questions like what to do and where should I stay. Let me see if I can help a bit '. After thinking about this need, I will have more than one post. So here is the first.
All centers more or less if you are single or traveling with his family. There are some places in Thailand where it is more or less, that this is notBring the family. I would suggest that Pattaya is not a place to care for your family. Pattaya is almost but not quite, a single oasis. Many adult entertainment, namely, go-go bars with nude dancers in topless at times, and a plethora of prostitutes. "Although the government of Thailand says it is not a prostitute." :-) I have a word said here that the family holiday in Pattaya. There are some entertainment for the family here, sailing, fishing, waveDriver, para-sailing, etc., but overall, it is mainly adult oriented.
I would suggest, the best family area, Phuket, Chiang Mai and Bangkok. These places are more geared for families. What are they looking for. If Google Suggest Hotels, the hotel will only extend the top end. Try googleing "cheap." It 's my opinion, the Suhkumvit more cheap hotels in Bangkok, and is easier to manage that part of town. Especially near the NanaAsoke area. These two areas have easy access to the Skytrain overhead and underground stations. There are a lot of shopping malls, restaurants and internet cafes. There are far too many tourists in this area, but sometimes a good thing, because there is virtually no crime in that area, the police frown on tourists arriving in Thailand, and English is spoken quite well here.
As for May Chiang, try a hotel near the centerThe large central square. Restaurants, travel, etc. Tours, where it will be close to everything, shops, night market, pubs
They are no longer familiar with Phuket, but it is suggested to reside in the heart of Phuket, close to the beach.
The weather here in Thailand is always good, if not always a bit 'hot, however, depending on the season, you can dine a bit' cool. Wear light clothing. Walking shorts, short T-shirt, comfortable shoes. They areprobably not run much, so bring your favorite, comfortable shoes. Bring a light sweater or jacket for a couple of nights. Do not bring enough, do not worry, you can do whatever you want here, which is also found in cosmetics. Not to pack, you can use soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, umbrellas, in fact, almost everything. So do not over pack. There are plenty of libraries in the area Suhkumvit, you can find all your tours and travel ticketsthere.
I must have missed something, but I will try to work on in my next post.
